One dollar, then whatever it takes

1. 01Everything starts at $1

   Every building and every street in the city opens at one dollar. There are no tiers, no valuations and no price list: the cheapest thing here and the tallest tower start at exactly the same price.

2. 02It's yours while nobody pays more

   You own what you bought for as long as you hold the highest bid. To take something from its owner, anyone has to pay at least $1 more than they did. Bid more than the minimum and you make it costlier for the next person.

3. 03When you're outbid, you don't get your money back

   This is the rule everyone accepts at checkout, and it is what makes the city work: money paid is spent, not deposited. What you bought was the time you held it, plus a permanent place in its history.

4. 04Losing it doesn't erase you

   Every owner stays on the asset's page and on the owners page, with their name, logo and link, for as long as the city exists. Being outbid moves you into the history; it never removes you from it. If you would rather not be listed, ask us and we will take you out.

5. 05We email you the moment it happens

   If somebody takes something from you, you get an email straight away telling you what they paid and the exact price to take it back. No watching, no bidding wars at 3am.

An example

A building opens at $1. Someone claims it, and it now costs $2 to take. Somebody wants it more and pays $20; the first owner keeps their place in the building's history and gets an email saying it can be taken back for $21. Nobody is refunded, and the building is now worth what the last person actually paid for it: $20.

What you get with a building

• Your name and logo on the building's facade or rooftop, visible to everyone exploring the 3D city.
• A public page for your building with a link to your website.
• A place in the city's timeline of takeovers and on the owners page.
• A private management link sent by email to update your name, logo, description and website at any time.
• No account, no password, no subscription.

What you get with a street

• Your logo painted on the road every few metres along the whole segment.
• A public page for the street with a link to your website.
• The same management link, timeline entry and owners-page listing as a building.

Payment, taxes and refunds

Payments are handled by Stripe, which is the merchant of record for every sale: Stripe charges the card, adds any sales tax, VAT or GST due in your country, and sends the receipt. Prices on the site are in US dollars and shown before tax.

All sales are final. Your asset goes live the moment the payment is confirmed, which is why you confirm at checkout that you want immediate delivery and waive the right of withdrawal. Being outbid later is not a refund case: it is the rule you bought into. See the terms for the full wording.
